Don’t feel guilty for going for this at any time of the day….and just one square will usually satisfy your hunger!
If you don’t enjoy baking, then this is a great treat without the mess, the time and the heat!
This bar is superb due to the ginger and orange essential oils – truly an awesome flavor combination like no other.
Be careful to use a good quality protein powder and note that different powders vary in absorption, so start with the lesser amount and add more if needed. Great finger dessert at a party – great in-between protein snack at home or wherever you are!
Energizing Protein Bars

Ingredients
- 1½ cup honey
- 2 cup raw almond butter or peanut butter
- 8-10 drops Wild Orange, or Citrus Bliss essential oil
- 2 drops Ginger essential oil
- ¾-1 cup any good quality protein powder (varieties differ in absorption)
- 4 cup rolled oats (gluten-free if needed)
Instructions
- If honey is hardened, lightly warm in saucepan just to soften, but not get hot.
- Stir in nut butter until smooth.
- Add essential oil and mix until smooth again.
- Stir in protein powder and oats.
- Mix thoroughly and spread in a 9" x 13" pan.
- Chill well; cut into squares to serve.
