Satisfying and Nourishing Snack

Don’t feel guilty for going for this at any time of the day….and just one square will usually satisfy your hunger!

If you don’t enjoy baking, then this is a great treat without the mess, the time and the heat!
This bar is superb due to the ginger and orange essential oils – truly an awesome flavor combination like no other.
Be careful to use a good quality protein powder and note that different powders vary in absorption, so start with the lesser amount and add more if needed. Great finger dessert at a party – great in-between protein snack at home or wherever you are!

Energizing Protein Bars
  • 1½ cup honey
  • 2 cup raw almond butter or peanut butter
  • 8-10 drops Wild Orange, or Citrus Bliss essential oil
  • 2 drops Ginger essential oil
  • ¾-1 cup any good quality protein powder (varieties differ in absorption)
  • 4 cup rolled oats (gluten-free if needed)
  1. If honey is hardened, lightly warm in saucepan just to soften, but not get hot.
  2. Stir in nut butter until smooth.
  3. Add essential oil and mix until smooth again.
  4. Stir in protein powder and oats.
  5. Mix thoroughly and spread in a 9" x 13" pan.
  6. Chill well; cut into squares to serve.
